Nepali artists are also holding their collective art exhibitions at different places at different times. At the same time, ‘Dalai-La’ in Thamel is also being chosen by artists as a suitable place for group art exhibitions. Artist and producer K.C. Curated by Art, this art exhibition will run from 16th January to 10th February. In the collective art exhibition of ten artists, all the artists have exhibited different types of works.

Artist Aman Shrestha’s printmaking works are very popular among artists of the young generation. This time he has included his painting in this exhibition in the context of not coming out to the exhibition for some time after his studies. In his picture, which looks like Narasimha killed Hiranyakashipu, money can be seen falling from the demon’s stomach, whose stomach is torn open. According to him, no matter how many corrupt people there are in Nepal, he says that this picture was made through etching as a satire.

Similarly, another artist Bijay Maharjan is famous for his sculptures. This time, he has given the title composition to his sculptures and has placed the sculptures of two women in the exhibition. These idols, which look attractive, are made of brass.

Another artist Nabin Nalbo is trying to make a special name in the caricature genre of the Nepali art world. He has included only caricatures in this exhibition. He is adept at making portraits of those eras while keeping the creations of artists in the background. This time, he exhibited the caricatures of artists Gopal Kalapremi, Pramila Bajracharya, Sangita Thapa and Shasikala Tiwari, K.K. Karmacharya and Kiran Manandhar, Asmina Ranjit, Saurganga Darshandhari and Bidhata K.C. In general, this artist, who has the ability to draw out the expressions and caricatures of the artists, is currently busy teaching in Janakpur.

Similarly, another artist Sanjeep Maharjan has placed three works in this exhibition. He has tried to express his works with titles like Kinnar, Kund, Wadal through poetry.

Another artist Sofia Maharjan prefers to do her works through knitting. In his works, you can see the hustle and bustle of Lagankhel market and the chaotic atmosphere there. Shyam Prasad Shrestha, a visitor who came to see this exhibition, said that there is no doubt that this artist, who prefers to work with needle and thread on fabric, can give more excellent creations in the future.

Another artist Koshal Hamal has presented himself with a different type of miniature work this time. By keeping small pictures in the center of the large canvas and leaving the rest of the canvas empty, the focus of his work is only on the small picture where he has depicted people like the Statue of Liberty, Mahatma Gandhi.

Another artist Mukesh Shrestha has depicted Radhakrishna and Umamaheshwar on a yellow background. The pictures made with yellow color on the canvas and white and black colors playing in front of it look very attractive at a glance. Besides, this artist is equally proficient in creating traditional style paintings along with modern paintings.

Artist Gopal Kalapremi Shrestha has exhibited two ceramic sculptures named “True Story” in this exhibition. The sculptures of this artist, who has been working in clay ceramics for more than three decades, can be seen as one of the attractions of the exhibition.

Another artist, Amsad Sunuwar, has exhibited the often-disappeared eye-glasses and thekis by using acrylic on canvas. Experts say that during the Rana period, there was a custom of making blindfolds so that outsiders could not see them. But nowadays, because wood is not available and it is expensive, people have stopped making such wooden windows.

Artist Sunil Ranjit has exhibited two paintings in this exhibition. From a distance, his art looks like an abstract painting, but if you look closely, it looks like people are playing slow instruments. The adjustment of colors and the portrait of this artist who has been in the teaching profession for a long time can also be seen as a special attraction of this exhibition.
