Among the distinguished participants is Kasthamandap, a highly acclaimed artist collective from Nepal, known for their innovative contributions to the artistic landscape.
This exhibition not only highlights the unique artistry of these nations but also serves as a symbol of friendship between China and Nepal, fostering cultural connections that transcend borders. Running for three days until January 17th, the event is poised to attract art enthusiasts from all walks of life.
The Nepali representation is particularly formidable, boasting the works of celebrated artists such as Asha Dangol, Erina Tamrakar, Bhairaj Maharjan, Binod Pradhan, Pradip Kumar Bajracharya, Pramila Bajracharya, and Sramik Dangol. These renowned artists are influential figures in the Nepali art scene and are known for organizing the annual ‘Himalayan Art Festival,’ a premier event celebrating the richness of Himalayan artistry.
Among the international participants is Zhao Yingming, a prominent Chinese oil painter and visual art educator. His contributions to the exhibition include stunning portraits of Nepal’s esteemed artists, crafted through personal visits to capture their essence. Zhao holds a position as a visiting professor at Lahore University in Pakistan, further showcasing his dedication to cross-cultural artistic collaboration.
Asha Dangol, one of the exhibiting artists, emphasizes the core mission of the exhibition: “The basic motto of the exhibition is to strengthen the ties between China and Nepal.” He envisions enhanced opportunities for artist exchange programs and international exposure for Nepali artists, which would elevate the visibility of Nepalese art on the global stage.
