The ancient whisper of a serpent-like energy within us is no myth-it has stirred softly through the souls of Eastern mystics for ages. In a deeply moving homage to this inner odyssey, veteran artist Bhim Prasad Sharma breathes life into the formless through his evocative exhibition at the Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikutimandap, from 18th May to 23rd of May. These are not just paintings—they are awakenings wrapped in color.
On the ground floor of the Tourism Board, a sacred stillness pulses with quiet energy. In this serene haven, artist Bhim Prasad Sharma has woven spirit into canvas-each painting a living breath of color and soul. His creations rest tenderly on easels, while others grace the walls like whispered echoes from realms beyond the visible.
Titled Kundalini-2, the exhibition is a soulful plunge into the sacred current of inner energy-vast, mysterious, and deeply alive. “I’ve divided it into three parts,” the artist murmurs, as if unveiling a secret. “First, the mudras-those ancient hand gestures that awaken the energy. Then, the deities of each chakra, accompanied by their bija mantras-powerful seed sounds that echo through the spirit. And finally, the visions… the spiritual waves that flowed through me, now captured in color and form.”
Each canvas pulses with intention, the colors so intuitively placed it’s as if they emerged from silence itself. Every brushstroke feels meditative-a harmony between soul and surrender, between knowing and feeling.
“This is the second chapter of my journey,” he adds gently. “The first unfolded in Chitwan, Gaidakot. This… this is the continuation of that awakening.” He pauses, a soft nostalgia in his eyes. “Long ago, my father was a renowned Pundit and astrologer. He used to craft horoscope charts by hand. One, I remember, stretched 32 hands long. It still rests at home, a quiet mystery. I never thought it would speak to me… but slowly, something awakened. A quiet pull toward this sacred energy. And now-this,” he smiles, “this is the journey painted into form.”
As he painted, his curiosity blossomed—brush in one hand, pen in the other, heart wide open. What began as quiet jottings transformed into pages, and those pages, like a river finding its course, flowed into a book. Born of meditation, reflection, and the hush of sacred wonder, this book now lies beside his paintings-cradled by the very exhibition that breathed it into being.

While painting he also started doing research on such energy forms and also started note keeping on all the materials and the notes kept on increasing and increasing and it took the shape of the book which he has released during the exhibition itself.
